Job Description

Innovative Global Medical Devices Company with an office in Johannesburg requires a skilled Sales Representative to join their team.  This role requires the candidate to reside in Cape Town.  You will do extensive travelling in the Western Cape, Free State and Eastern Cape.  You will be expected to promote and sell medical services and products to existing and developing markets.  Interventional Cardiology and TAVI

This role is open to all candidates who have the required experience and who fit the profile.  

Annual Salary: R300K CTC (Including Group Life, Funeral Cover, Travel Allowance)

Job Functions:  

  • Responsible for building and maintaining effective and positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales against the budget set for the territory
  • Track daily sales for the territory
  • Update and submit account plans as required
  • Assist managers in developing strategies per market segment e.g. hospital groups, public sector,
    and tenders
  • Submit weekly reports to managers
  • Submit monthly expenses reports to the bookkeeper
  • Manage own budget expenses as set out for the territory
  • Implement promotional campaigns as set out by the manager
  • Implement a new product launch plan
  • Ensure effective stock management at hospitals, including movement, uplift and setting of stock levels
  • Ensure minimum expiries of stock by effective management of same
  • Comply with all legal requirements
  • Recommendations of new products to HOD
  • Resolve any conflict situation in the territory or among teams as applicable
  • Ensure required temperature ranges within the product portfolio

Educational, knowledge, skills and attributes required for this role:   

  • Relevant medical qualification, degree or diploma will be an advantage (Sterile Field)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical sales environment
  • Must Reside in Cape town
  • Proven track record in selling
  • Strong customer care and customer service skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills. 
  • Ability to travel extensively. 
  • Reliable Vehicle
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to work flexible hours due to client requirements
  • Must work well in a team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be Medically fit to work
  • Time-management abilities

First Round interview:  HR and CEO

Second Round Interviews:  Technical Unit

Third Round Interview:  International Client

Psychometric Tests will be done as part of the interviewing process.
