Our client with various Healthcare facilities is looking for a detail-orientated Senior Bookkeeper to join their finance team.
This role is ideal for a candidate with excellent communication, Interpersonal. Decision-making and problem-solving skills. You must be able to write reports, and deal with conflict if required. You must be able to provide stats and reports to management as needed.
You will be expected to Preparing Turnover Reports, Checking Payrolls, Consultancy calculations for different incorporations within the group, Manage asset register, Manage Rent roles, Prepare the Profit and Loss balance sheet, prepare Creditors and Debtors reports, and Prepare Audit files.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bank
All cash receipt transactions are to be entered correctly in the source system
All cash receipt transactions are allocated to General Ledger correctly
All payments are recorded correctly
Monthly banking reconciliations
Daily deposits are reconciled with GoodX
Differences are cleared at each month's end - Debtors
Reconciliations to pastel
Credit notes are raised in the source system
Bad debt is written off as instructed
Recoveries of bad debts posted in the source system
Governance of all postings - General Ledger
Monthly schedules as requested by the financial manager
Invoices
Journals
Reconcile management accounts with General ledger - Various management reports
- Various ad-hoc meetings required
- Accounts are governed as specified by the company
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Financial Degree/Diploma
- Own Vehicle and Drivers License
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience within a similar role
- Excellent Excel Skills (Including Pivot Tables), MS Word and MS Outlook
- Ability to provide stats
- Understanding and experience in financial controls
- Good working knowledge of Accounting Package - Pastel, Xero etc
- Tax and Financial regulatory and reporting requirements
